A new bell schedule for the 2022-2023 school year has been approved for SVHS. The school day will begin at 8:30 to meet the requirements of the law signed by the governor in 2019. The schedule has four days of 90-minute block periods and an anchor day on Friday when all periods will meet. Flex Time is a mandatory class after first or second period that will provide students with choices for enrichment or additional support and will be organized using an app. A nutrition break and extra time at lunch will give students more time to eat. Period 7 at the end of the school day will be used for athletics, dual enrollment, marching band, ROP, and other additional classes.
