During October, the school had held a contest for who could make the best scary story. The school really wanted to get into that spooky feeling so they started a contest in the library for the best scary stories. Below you’ll be able to find the scary stories and their authors, along with what place they placed in.
3RD PLACE (NOELLE FULTS)
As I squeezed through the tight passages of the cave, I realized with horror
that my backpack caused me to get stuck. The screeches grew closer, but
I was unable to get free.
The little birdie thrashed, its wings too broken for it to fly. I felt a twinge of
pity but I needed it, my masterpiece needed to be completed.
2ND PLACE (REESE OSBORN)
The baby kept crying downstairs. I don’t have any children.
I heard my mom calling for me in the garage and I started to head over
there. As I reached for the doorknob I felt a hand on my shoulder and
turned to see my mom whisper to me “don’t open the door, I hear it too”.
IST PLACE (SOPHIA GARCIA)
My mom called me in horror as she realized that I forgot to bring my
medication on my trip to connect with others that are paralyzed. I thought I
would be in pain, so why am I able to wiggle my toes ????
I read and reread my friends final note, her blood still fresh on the carpet.
I’m so glad that I learned how to copy her writing.
